Yadira Caraveo for Congress (CO-08)

As the Deputy Organizing Director for Dr. Yadira Caraveo’s re-election campaign in Colorado’s 8th congressional district (CD-08), I played a pivotal role in managing what was nationally recognized as the closest congressional race of the cycle. This district, defined by an independent redistricting commission, is projected to be a battleground for future elections, embodying the essence of political volatility and strategic importance.

Leadership and Strategic Planning: I led a diverse team of field organizers, community engagement interns, and Democracy Summer Fellows, driving our efforts to maximize voter outreach and engagement. Our comprehensive strategy involved meticulous planning and execution of grassroots mobilization, resulting in over 100,000 doors knocked, 87.5% by dedicated volunteers.

Stakeholder Engagement and Team Coordination: My role required high-level coordination with various stakeholders, ensuring alignment of campaign goals with broader political objectives. I spearheaded collaborations that bridged gaps between grassroots efforts and organizational leadership, enhancing campaign coherence and efficacy.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilizing advanced analytics, I directed targeted recruitment calls and digital campaigns that significantly boosted volunteer sign-up conversions and engagement rates. This approach not only optimized resource allocation but also amplified our reach and impact in critical voter segments.

Resilience and Adaptability: Despite the district’s challenging political landscape, where our ticket faced substantial headwinds, our strategic adjustments minimized rightward shifts in voter alignment, showcasing our campaign’s resilience and my adaptability under pressure.
